He has infiltrated Tim's residence because his parents work for Puppy Co., which is unleashing a new puppy on the day that employees take their children to work. However, if a baby does not drink it after a period of time, he or she reverts to a regular baby. They discover that Francis used to be the head of Baby Corp. and Boss Baby's idol, but was forced out when it was discovered that his lactose intolerance kept the secret formula from working properly. Vowing revenge, Francis founded Puppy Corp. and intends to have the Forever Puppies overshadow babies by stealing Boss Baby's serum bottle and infecting the puppies with it. Tim's parents go with Francis to Las Vegas, and Francis has his brother Eugene (Conrad Vernon) pose as Tim and Boss Baby's babysitter to keep them from interfering.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> Without a steady flow of serum to keep his intelligence in check, Boss Baby begins reverting back to being a normal baby. Despite this, he and Tim manage to evade the "babysitter" long enough to get to the airport, but are too late to intercept Tim's parents. Upset, Tim blames Boss Baby for using his family for his own ulterior motives, for which Boss Baby, after some hesitance, apologizes. After sneaking on a plane for Elvis impersonators (James McGrath and James Izzo) bound for Vegas, they stall Francis' presentation when Eugene (disguised as another Elvis impersonator) unwittingly gives away their plan, which they begin to have a good time together with Tim's imagination in the plane.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> Furious at their interference, Francis proceeds to lock Tim's parents up so he can burn them with exhaust from a rocket used to launch the Forever Puppies. Tim and Boss Baby fight with him, and then push him off the ledge, making Francis plummet into the formula. Boss Baby opens the rocket to let the dogs out, so they can save Tim's parents. After he successfully does that, he returns to baby state while still on the rocket, but Tim sings to him with a family song to show his appreciation, causing him to jump off of the rocket before it launches. Francis, having reverted back to baby form, attempts to attack them again, but Eugene interferes, stating he'll "raise him right this time" now that he's a baby again.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> Boss Baby gets promoted, leaves in a taxi, and Tim goes back to being an only child. But Tim and Boss Baby, having grown closer, start to miss each other (which they discover that love don't change places but multiples instant). Boss Baby, fed up, decides to be part of the Templeton family permanently. A Hindi film adaptation  released on 19 May 2017.<br /> <br /> Dedicated to "non English-types", as Chetan Bhagat wrote, the book divulges the sentiments and linguistic struggles of a backward rural Bhojpuri-laced Hindi-speaking boy from Bihar as he enrolls himself at the prestigious English-medium St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, and falls in love with a "high class English-speaking rich Delhi girl" schooled at Modern School, New Delhi. The girl does not admit the relationship but agrees to be his "half girlfriend".  Chetan Bhagat commented, "Half-Girlfriend, to me, is a unique Indian phenomenon, where boys and girls are not clear about their relationship status with each other. A boy may think he is more than friends with the girl, but the girl is still not his girlfriend. Hence, I thought we needed a term like 'Half girlfriend'. But, Half Girlfriend is definitely not one of his best works. So, Mohit Suri (Aashiqui2, Ek Villain) gives us a celluloid outing that is thodafun and largely exasperating.<br /> <br /> The fun bit comes from watching the Simrao boy (pronounced bai) struck by a thunderbolt when he spots the Delhi dame. And the brave attempts chalk makes in going for cheese is also endearing. Imagine this; he can barely speak a smattering of English and she behaves like she is a rather late-in-the day British import. Yet, it’s understandable that they find an escape in basketball and music. Before long, Madhav’s infatuation becomes a fatal attraction. Her dost se zyada but girlfriend se kum stance seems non-negotiable and stops you from investing in her halfway through the film.<br /> <br /> Back to apna Madhav, fate smiles on him a couple of times later when his path crosses that of Riya’s. And he chases her from Patna to New York (even dragging Bill Gates into proceedings) with a doggedness that should appeal to the countless stalkers, who shame society every day.<br /> <br /> The first half breezes through, but post interval proceedings hang; in tandem with the hangdog expression worn by the hero. Arjun is sincere, but seems too urban for an ideal `Bihari’ fit. And Shraddha, who looks her loveliest here, lacks gravitas.<br /> <br /> <br /> As far as the ensemble music album goes--Manoj Muntashir’s Phir Bhi Main Tumko Chahoonga, the only track that has real recall is lyrically-adequate but Mithoon’s tune is not compelling enough. Finally, half girlfriend or boyfriend is that person many of us have encountered on campus. However, do we really want to relive those memories? It depends entirely on the mood. </div>

Before the coronation, Rajamatha Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan) begins to look for a bride for Amarendra. She instructs Amarendra and Kattappa to tour the kingdom to understand its current state and its people.<br /><br />Amarendra falls in love with Devasena (Anushka Shetty), a princess of the Kuntala kingdom (7.5 yojanas in the North from Mahishmati) and the sister of the king of Kuntala. Bhallaladeva learns of Amarendra's attempts to woo Devasena and hatches a plot to drive a wedge between Amarendra and Sivagami by asking for Devasena's hand in marriage for himself. Sivagami, unaware that Amarendra is in love with Devasena, promises Devasena's hand in marriage to Bhallaladeva.<br /><br />Sivagami sends an emissary to the kingdom of Kuntala, who delivers the marriage proposal in a patronizing way. An insulted Devasena rejects the proposal with a scathing reply. Sivagami is enraged to hear Devasena's response and sends an order to Amarendra that Devasena be brought to Mahishmati as a captive.<br /><br />The kingdom of Kuntala is attacked by Pindaris, a dacoit-like army. Amarendra, with the help of Devasena's maternal uncle, Kumara Varma (Subbaraju), is able to nullify the attack and save Kuntala. Amarendra reveals who he is, promises Devasena that he will protect her honor no matter what and convinces her to come with him to Mahismati as his future bride.<br /><br />Upon reaching Mahismati, the misunderstanding comes to light. When Sivagami delivers an ultimatum to Amarendra that he must either chose the throne or Devasena, he chooses Devasena. Bhallaladeva is crowned king and Amarendra is made the new commander-in-chief. During the coronation ceremony the citizens of Mahishmati clearly display their preference for Amarendra over Bhallaladeva.<br /><br />At Devasena's baby shower, Bhallaladeva relieves Amarendra of his duties as commander-in-chief so that Amarendra can be with his wife. Devasena immediately speaks out against the King's manipulation and the mute inaction of Sivagami. Due to further clashes, Devasena and Amarendra are banished from the Palace. Amarendra and Devasena live happily among the people. Bhallaladeva notices that to the people, Amarendra is their king, and hatches a plot with his father Bijjaladeva (Nassar) to convince Sivagami that Amarendra is trying to assassinate him. Sivagami, convinced that Bhallaladeva's life is under threat and open action would result in factions and civil war, orders Kattappa to assassinate Amarendra. Kattappa, bound by his word to serve the Queen, lures Amarendra by feigning he is in trouble, and then stabs him in the back and kills him.<br /><br />Kattappa learns of Bhallaladeva's treachery and informs Sivagami. Devasena too arrives to learn of her husband's death with her son, in her arms. Sivagami announces the panicked hordes outside her palace that Amarendra is dead and the baby, Mahendra Baahubali, is the new King.<br /><br />As Bhallaladeva and his men are about to seize the queen, she flees with baby Mahendra Baahubali. Devasena is taken prisoner for the next 25 years. The Kuntala Kingdom is destroyed completely by Bhallaladeva. The now ousted Kuntala King (Meka Ramakrishna), leads the rebel group that has indulged in guerrilla warfare against king Bhallaladeva.<br /><br />After listening to the whole story, Mahendra Baahubali alias Shivudu (Prabhas) decides to avenge his father's death by raising his own army with the help of Kattappa and returns to Mahishmati along with Avantika (Tamannaah) and the people of the city. Bhallaladeva once again kidnaps Devasena and seals the palace, but Baahubali, ingenious like his father, manages to enter the palace to capture Bhallaladeva.<br /><br />Bijjala Deva tries to brainwash Kattappa reminding him of his forefather's pledge of their allegiance to protect and defend the throne of Mahismati and their duty to be loyal to the king. Kattappa reminds him that Sivagami had declared Mahendra Baahubali king before her death 25 years back and hence his loyalties instead lie with the rightful king, Baahubali. Bhallaladeva is later defeated by Baahubali and burnt alive on a pyre prepared by Devasena. Ending the cruel regime of Bhallaladeva, Baahubali becomes the new King of Mahishmati with Avantika as his queen, declaring peace and harmony.<br /><br />In the end credits, a child is heard asking an elder whether the son of Mahendra Baahubali will become the next king of Mahishmati. Ami Je Ke Tomar is strong proof of that.<br />It’s really a good watch; an emotional one, rather. It’s one of those films that tend to touch your romantic nerve and keep you glued to your seat till the end. Hats off to the script for that (the original, I mean). Despite being a quintessential playboy-meets-good girl story, Ami Je… comes with a twist that makes it special, and touching.<br /><br />The trio of Nusrat, Ankush and Sayantika has managed to live up to their bits quite well. Sayantika has done a really good job of playing the matter-of-fact Prachi, especially when it comes to scenes where she needs to express (or rather, hide) her emotional turmoil on seeing her love, Aditya, falling for Esha. Ankush and Nusrat, too, display good chemistry and manage to get their expressions bang on in this drama involving intense emotions.<br /><br />But on the downside, this official remake of the Marathi film, Mitwaa, retains quite a few obvious Maharashtrian elements. For one, the predominant deity in the film is Shirdi Sai Baba. With all due respect, how many Bengalis visit a Shirdi Sai Baba temple every morning and where exactly in Kolkata is such a large temple of the saint? Then there’s this geographical confusion — Aditya’s resort is apparently in Kolkata, because he never mentions Digha, though he plans to open a branch in Mandarmoni. But he keeps walking out to a beach, come good or bad times. We’re so fed up of that after sitting through umpteen ultra-loud south remakes! In fact, most part of Ami Je Ke Tomar (sounds hauntingly similar to Hum Apke Hain Kaun, doesn’t it?) bears uncanny resemblance to the original, including the opening song-and-dance sequence and Ankush’s outfits and his facial fuzz towards the end. And yes, the songs could have been easily filmed in India. It’s kind of disconcerting to see the characters spending a fortune on airfare and visas just to go and dance in Europe!<br /><br />But all said and done, despite the now-known failings of remakers, I would strongly advise you to watch this film. It will take you back to that Karan Johar kind of mush, with an Imtiaz Ali touch of friendship and a touching twist in the ‘tail’ with good performances to boot. Just take along popcorn for two, and if there’s a crier on board, an extra-large handkerchief. <br /><br /></div>
